Dogs truly are a human’s best friend and at The Puppy Master we champion the idea of your dog living its best life. It’s an attitude we live and breathe in our training and it’s felt by everyone on the team. We are science led, evidence based and train dogs using ethical methods only. This means we do not use physical force, cause fear, pain or discomfort in order to get dogs to comply, there is no need… there are simply better, kinder approaches.

Clare Andrusyk – Head Trainer and Owner of The Puppy Master

An accredited Dog Training College Canine Training and Behaviour Modification instructor, Clare is passionate about dogs of all breeds and is helping them flourish with their owners. She has appeared on BBC Look North, BBC Radio Leeds, BBC Radio 5, the Dog Training College Unleashed conference, Empowered Dog winter summit and is recognised as an expert in her field. Clare is also a content creator for Tiktok, for her business and on behalf of a well known canine industry leader.

With over 23 years of experience in the dog industry, Clare leads with a force free, choice-based training approach. In other words, owners and dogs can learn together at a relaxed pace and create a long-lasting bond! Her approach is constantly updated with industry best practices and she regularly attends courses provided by IMDT, School of Canine Science, ICB and Dog Training College. Clare is also an accredited, monitored and approved Dog Trainer for IMDT and Dog Training College.

When not training clients and their dogs online and offline across the UK, Clare loves spending time with her family of Cockapoos and Cocker Spaniels. She also stays busy writing articles for Dogs Today magazine on industry-leading topics.

Dog Trainer – Charlie

Charlie has worked with us since Feb 2023. He was actually my client that loved dog training so much, he decided to pursue it as his career and has now stepped into this role with us full time.

Charlie is the proud owner of 3 dogs, a Vizla and two Irish Setters. Gus is his youngest Irish Setter who is so laid back, hes almost horizontal so he is the resident stooge dog, which is helpful around with our reactivty cases.

Charlie provides ‘Take & Train’ services, alongside dog walking and dog training classes.

Clare amazed me with her supportive responses, which are obviously exactly what you need when you are worried about an aspect of your dog’s behaviour. She was precise, detailed and analytical in her approach whilst also being very human (which in my experience is not always the case with dog experts!). So being a first-time owner of a St Bernard I was up against everyone! I’d tried two trainers with Sully, we actually got asked to leave one group!
